Every year, labels pass on artists with real talent. Not because the music isn’t good enough, but because everything around the music isn’t ready. The Sideman Method exists to close that gap.
I’ve spent nearly three decades—some of that time as a major-label A&R executive, weighing in on 200+ projects, making the calls on who got signed and who got passed on. I know what actually separates a “not yet” from a “yes”—and it’s rarely the song.
This isn’t generic career coaching. It’s a five-part framework built from what actually gets evaluated in the room, organized so you can work through it yourself, or with me directly.

Craft
Does the music connect emotionally — and earn a replay, not just a listen?
Readiness comes down to five things: whether the music itself is ready (Craft), whether you know who you are as an artist and can articulate it clearly (Identity), and whether the business side — contracts, splits, paperwork — is actually handled (Business). It’s also whether you’re building real relationships with an audience and the industry (Relationships), and whether you have an actual plan beyond your next release (Career). Most artists are strong in one or two of these and don’t realize it’s costing them everywhere else.
